Profile Verification FAQ

What is profile verification?

Profile verification is one of the many ways we keep our community safe! In the world of other dating apps, it can be difficult to have confidence that the person you’re chatting with is really who they say they are. If someone’s profile is verified, that means that our team believes that this person is who they say they are, which adds an extra layer of safety to your dating interactions on Ark.

Keep in mind: verification is a simple process and is not foolproof. Just because someone is who they say they are doesn’t mean that they are a good person. Be smart about your interactions and practice safe dating. (See our Safety category for tips on how to have a safe dating experience both in the app and in person.)

How do I get verified?

  1. Open your Ark app

  2. Go to the “Profile” tab and scroll down to “Account Verification”

  3. Follow the steps to complete the verification process by choosing one of the pre-approved poses and submitting a photo in that pose.

  4. Our team will review your photo and verify your account. This takes about 48 hours on average.

Once your account is verified, others will see a purple check mark on your profile next to your name. This indicates that you are a Verified User!

If for some reason our team does not feel that your account qualifies to be verified, we’ll let you know and give you a chance to fix the issue.

If you have questions or need help with the verification process, contact our support team at support@arkdating.app and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
